Grigol Robakidze University is one of the four universities, which has Holocaust studies, as well as Israeli room. The university is a private higher education institution in Georgia. GRU opened its doors in 1992 and was referred to as “Alma Mater”. In 1995, by the decision of the Academic Council, the University “Alma Mater” was named Grigol Robakdize University, though society still calls it “Alma Mater”. Grigol Robakidze University regularly ranks high among the universities of Georgia. The mission of the university is to prepare generations of competent specialists for Humanitarian, Social, Administrative, Medical and other spheres of high demand, who will be able to integrate into the international educational and labor markets and will take their share of responsibility for the future of the country.
